Webster man pleads guilty for possessing child pornography
His phone and tablet contained hundreds of pornographic images
A Webster man has admitted to possessing hundreds of images and several videos of child pornography.
Glenn Smith, 52, pleaded guilty to federal child pornography possession charges, according to local news reports.
Some of the pornography Smith had in his possession included children under the age of 12. The images and videos were located both on Smith’s phone and tablet. He had precisely 157 images and seven videos on his cell phone and 45 images and five videos on his tablet, according to multiple news sources.
In addition to pleading guilty to the charges, Smith admitted that he had shared some of the pornographic images on a peer-to-peer network.
Smith faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. His sentencing is scheduled for September 1.
