Webster, NY - The Webster Chamber of Commerce announced its selection of Dr. Peter Pellittieri of Webster Dental Arts as the Chamber’s "2021 Businessperson of the Year." The presentation was made at the Chamber’s monthly breakfast meeting and was presented by Barry Howard, President/CEO of the Webster Chamber of Commerce, and Diane McClure, Chair of the Chamber’s Board of Directors.

The “Businessperson of the Year” is recognized as having set a standard of accomplishment in both business and the community. Nominations are from the Chamber’s business members who have made a significant impact on the role of business in the community. The nominee must be a member of the Chamber for at least 18 months. They must be an active member who is always willing to go above and beyond and be a leader that motivates others. They must have a level of community participation by contributing resources in the form of time, talent or money to our community via projects, clubs, churches and not-for-profits.

Each year the Chamber Board of Directors receives a number of nominees for this honor. The selection process included several outstanding candidates, and the number of nominees is a testament to the Chamber membership’s commitment to the community.

This year’s honoree is a very active member of the Webster Community―father, husband, business owner, volunteer, and philanthropist. He is a regular attendee at Chamber events, a familiar face at breakfast meetings, and an active member of faith and civic organizations. He is easily recognized by his smiling face, his upbeat and always enthusiastic attitude, and because he is one of Webster’s finest dentists!

Dr. Pellittieri is founder and practitioner at Webster Dental Arts located in the North Forest office park on Crosspointe Lane. He is a graduate of SUNY Buffalo and the Temple University School of Dentistry where he received his class’s highest achievement on the national boards and was elected to the national dental honor society. He completed his residency at URMC and went to work in his father’s practice. Several years ago, he started his current practice in newly built, state-of-the-art offices.

Barry Howard, President/CEO of the Webster Chamber, says: “Dr. Pellittieri is an always-smiling face at Chamber functions. His enthusiasm and commitment to our community and to his patients is amazing.”

Dr. Pellittieri is a past Program Chair for the Monroe County Dental Society and past President of the Apollonian Dental Study Group.

He is an active member of St. Paul’s Church servicing his faith community as a lector and Eucharistic Minister. He is a member and past Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus, as well a past Faithful Navigator.

Dr. Pellittieri has been a fixture in the Kiwanis Club of Webster (where he has 20 plus years of perfect attendance), serving locally as a committee member and advisor for youth and adult leadership programs, including K-Kids and the Aktion Club for adults with developmental disabilities. He has also co-chaired the Kiwanis Christmas Party, serving approximately 100 local children and adults with developmental disabilities; and co-chaired the Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt. He is a Kiwanis past President and past Lieutenant Governor and shared honors as the "Kiwanian of the Year," along with his wife Allison (also a very active member of Kiwanis).

His philanthropic support includes Challenger Field of Greater Rochester; GiGi’s Playhouse Rochester Downs Syndrome Achievement Center; Northeast Quadrant Advanced Life Support; the Open-Door Mission, where he organized volunteer groups to serve meals at the Center; Crew 333 Scouting Venture Crew for adults with developmental disabilities; Chaired the Police & Firefighter’s appreciation dinner; and his office volunteers as bell-ringer for the Salvation Army.

The Chamber presented him with a plaque that is inscribed with these words:

“Businessperson of the Year presented by the Webster Chamber of Commerce to Dr. Peter Pellittieri in recognition of your outstanding contributions to the Webster Chamber of Commerce and your commitment to the community ― 2021."

In addition to the plaque, the Webster Chamber makes a contribution to a charitable organization selected by him.

Diane McClure from Edge Advertising Group was the Chamber’s honoree in 2020 and Joe Vitello from Heartland Payroll was the Chamber’s honoree in 2019.
