MONROE COUNTY PRESS RELEASE -


New Cases

There are 30 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the 4 p.m. update on Friday, April 10.

These new individuals include:

  • 1 Female in her 20s

  • 1 Male in his 20s

  • 5 Females in their 30s

  • 2 Females in their 40s

  • 3 Males in their 40s

  • 2 Males in their 50s

  • 1 Female in her 60s

  • 1 Male in his 60s

  • 3 Females in their 70s

  • 2 Males in their 70s

  • 5 Females in their 80s

  • 1 Male in his 80s

  • 2 Females in their 90s

  • 1 Male in his 90s

Deaths

There were 3 new deaths since Friday, April 10, bringing the total to 49.

Hospitalized

Of the 742 confirmed cases, 90 people are hospitalized. 38 of the 90 patients are in the ICU on a ventilator.

Message from Monroe County Public Health Commissioner Dr. Michael Mendoza: We are all excited for the warmer weather and holiday weekend, but it is critically important that we maintain our social distancing. As tempting as it is to be out in public places with family and friends, please remain home and stay vigilant that anyone could be contagious even if they are not symptomatic. #StayHomeMonroe
